Why I write this blog:
Part scrapbook, part documentary, part diary of all the interesting and not so interesting things that make up our little world. In my big dream I see it as a love letter to my grandchildren so they can look back at us someday, far into the future, laugh at how we've changed and grown...and get a glimpse of their dads (my two boys) as children. So not a lofty goal at all.
Quirky things about me:
- I make an awful lot of faces, I truly can't help it and why would I?
- Part of my regular routine is to use a toothbrush to clean my wedding ring...right after I brush my teeth with it.
- I'm not squeamish, a result of growing up in a rural area I'm sure.
- The short days of winter are not my friend. I love the sun.
- My family has lived in California for at least 5 generations, since before it was a state.
- I'm a six time PTA president, that's not counting the time I was the president of the presidents' group or being the high school foundation president.
- I was president of my senior class. Feel free to eye-roll...again.
- Words are important to me, if you use them incorrectly, I will most certainly be making fun of you, though probably not out loud. That would be rude.
- I'm a debutante, was a debutante...no that's not just in the movies.
- Classy women with salty language have my admiration. Ladies who swear remind me of my late paternal grandmother.
- Cupcakes, cheesecake, ice-cream and bread-pudding are nice, but nothing tempts me like dark chocolate candy.
