Movie Almost

Our plan today was to catch a matinee showing of The Great and Powerful OZ down at Big Newport.

First, we had lunch across the street at Fashion Island.  Remind me not to go there on Saturdays, what is with that crowd?!  It was see and be seen day.  There was a woman pushing a stroller wearing a full length fur coat...It's sixty degrees out princess!  Unbelievable.

Back to our story, this photo is right before we go all out down at the snack bar.  Folks are waiting outside our assigned theater while the technicians do a sound check...until they blow an amplifier.  No show for anyone. *sigh*

Our tickets were refunded and since it's Newport we also received free tickets on top of that, they don't want anyone threatening litigation over a missed movie.

All the other showings were way too late in the evening; we'll try again tomorrow, maybe another of the Edwards locations.  Is 10:00 too early?

When we got home I clipped a bunch of our palm fronds around the yard, Dr T flipped on the golf game and Rett discovered Liam's XBOX was available for use!

I am trying to get better at snapping pictures of our everyday life.  So while we were playing, Lego Star Wars, I took this winner.  Look how he is concentrating.

Once he saw the picture he quickly informed me we should take another, without the controller in the photo; "We don't want Liam knowing we were in here!"

Umm.....Too bad I already posted the above picture! I did't tell Rett that.  

We will just have to keep our fingers crossed Liam didn't check Facebook today....or doesn't care that we partied in his room while he was out.  No food was spilled, no wrappers were left and there are not any Legos to be stepped on....today at least.
