Flip Flops and Feathers

My flip-flop boy.  The sun is out today.  Even if it was raining and cold, he would still prefer to wear these shoes.

Patina Braised Prime Beef Short Rib, Truffle Potato Fondue, Baby Carrots, Mushroom Red Wine Sauce

Intense Chocolate Cake, Caramelized Hazelnuts, Chocolate Sauce, Chocolate Macaroon, Vanilla Chantilly Cream

 

Everything was scrumptious.  The show was laugh out loud funny.  And of course I was with two of my favorite ladies in the whole wide world, so it was a memorable evening!

Civil War Encampment

How appropriate that Rett would find a purple garbage can on Valentine's Day.  It was the first thing he saw when we got out of the car.

The very next thing to cross our path were these mounted troops.

The interior living conditions at the camp.

The little guy could have listened to this weapons expert for hours on end.  The rest of us were done after about 5 minutes.

When we got home Grandma made a surprise visit so Mama and Daddy could go out to a late dinner at Gulfstream to celebrate Valentine's Day.
