Sunday Supper Spectrum

Met some friends down at Irvine Spectrum for an early dinner.

The moms and youngins made a stop in at Children's Place, while the dads and teenager found a suitable eatery.

Remember, my goal of purchasing only food until the addition gets built...well except that toilet and those hats, but other than those?!

Well, now I have to add to the list of non-grocery purchases: Easter Shirt and tie for the little guy, the next size up of flip-flops AND hat and sunglasses chosen by Rett.

Which looks like this:

At least it was all on sale.

He didn't have a proper Easter outfit.

*sigh*

Other than these, I need to hunker down and stick to my goal; no more non-sense in my basket. (Heather, I can't stop saying it.)

On to our lovely dinner.

Lucky for us, the boys chose Javier's Mexican food, where the mango margaritas are divine.

Should have gotten a picture with the group of us, I was just having too much fun to remember.

Instagram photo April 1, 2012 Day 1 Reflection

Well, I'm back to the blog!

It's been nearly two years since I've actually posted...but I miss it...and have thought of returning SO many times.
I've decided to dive right in with this very revealing Instagram photo in the hopes that it will motivate me to get crackin!

Sheesh, what a mess!  I'm now just a teensy bit embarrassed, but today's title was reflection and this pretty much sums it up.

Adhesive Chalk Board & Baskets

More proof I take pictures of a lot of crazy stuff (as though that was necessary).  But I was at TJ Maxx and my sister-in-law had just been talking about putting a chalkboard in her new kitchen, so I just HAD to take a picture of these adhesive chalkboards and send her a text with the info.
See there is a reason behind the madness.

I put together these mini Easter baskets for The Hunt tomorrow.

In and amongst the plastic eggs, there's candy, money and puzzle pieces with a picture of where these baskets are hidden.

I admit it.  I can go a little overboard with this holiday stuff...and I LUV wrapping things in cellophane!

Target Can

Did you know there are many uses for garbage cans other than just trash?

For instance, in Target, they use a red garbage can for hangers.

Let this be a lesson to all of us, don't limit the possiblities of cans in your day to day life.

What do you wear when you shop?

South Coast Plaza;  One of the finest, most high-end "malls" in the world.

My child insists on wearing a fireman's outfit throughout the entire evening.

We dined at Boudin's, he and Cousin Jen took a twirl around the carousel and we did a teensy bit of shopping.

Trip to the Nursery

Our backyard needed a new Lion's Tale. We also picked up some extra-dark red ivy geraniums.

This is the perfect outing for us; Rett gets to collect rocks and ride around on this cool cart, I get some exercise from pushing, we both get some fresh air and we get to shop...for plants, but still.
