Solar Rings Are Back on the Pool

After lots of pestering, and the boys getting in the chilly pool to swim because it's so hot out, I took the time to clean, scrub, blow up and place the solar rings back on the pool. 

 

I hope we get some more warm days. 

 

I'm not willing to get in unless it's at least in the 80's. 

 

Bye-bye pretty pool, hello solar rings.

Asleep in the Sun & Too Cold to Swim

Why would anyone jump into a freezing cold pool? You're a middle schooler and your friends dare you to.  It was about 50 some odd degrees.  COLD! 

Rett was a little bit stuffy and feeling sick.  But he wanted to watch Daddy work on the window.  He got a pillow from the sofa and put it on the floor in the sunshine and then fell asleep.

Oh, the Rain!

Pulled into the driveway and found my outdoor mat had been washed away.  The first picture is where I found it.  Second picture is the mat put back in it's rightful place.  It travelled a long way!

We've been on constant "Pool Watch" to see if the rain water makes the pool overflow.  Luckily, Tim had the forethought to drain it right after the rains began, but it's already up again.  The drain goes right to the sewer.

Above is the picture of the pool equipement and dog house on the side yard...another reason the pool isn't allowed to overflow, this side of the yard is the low spot and already has more water than it can handle.

I do have to admit we were so desperate to get out of the house I took Rett to the McDonald's playplace, his first time ever!  I can't believe I didn't document with actual photos.  The toy was Henry the Dog.  I don't think Rett knew about FREE toys with a meal until today...this isn't going anywhere good.

Lemoncider???

Woke up this morning to find a lemon and 3 tiny, unripened tomatoes in our pool. The birds must have been busy. 

Rett exclaimed "Oh good now we can make Lemoncider!!" 

Yes, I'm perplexed as well. Does he mean lemonade or apple cider? A combination of the two doesn't seems plausible, yuck. 

I'll let you know if he gives me the recipe.

The Dollar in the Pool?

I'll admit I see a lot of weird things at my house, but this one was a doozy....I have so many questions, I don't even know where to begin. 

I guess the first has to be "Why is there money floating in my pool?"...I sense there is a story behind this but no one is fessing up.

Completion

I swear this is the last pool picture...but it's finally done, so I had to do it!

This is also to show just how high the water level is...the contractors left the water running all day and all night and it flooded all down our side yard and into our neighbors yard, since theirs is just a little lower elevation...yipes!

Tahoe Blue

Very cool to watch the whole plaster process. 

It's such an art form when it get's to the part where they hand trowel it out.

The color is Tahoe Blue and it should keep the pool about 7 degrees warmer than the old white plaster...and of course, no more leaks.

Drainage
