Throwback Thursday - Easter at Roy's

Easter 2010 that is...

Get ready for picture overload!

First, look at my hair!

Was I better as a blond?

Should I be making an appoint to end my hair color sabbatical??

Back to this post.

It should have been added to the blog, but somehow got stuck in draft.

Subsequently, all the following posts were not published, because I couldn't bare to do them out of order.

Eventually, there were SO many, I walked away from blogging all together.

I did not have the time to sit in front of the computer, uploading photos from my camera, editing them on the laptop, typing out any barely strung together details.

This was before iPad and iPhone, which have revolutionized my life in many ways.

Ease of blogging is just one.

AND back then I was still chasing a four year old Rett around, full-time.

These little boys 3 and 4 in a fancy restaurant.  I remember this day well.

Maybe I didn't post it because there was no writing attached?

The pictures below certainly need explanation...
To make a fair Easter Egg hunt I put initials on all the eggs. D for Delaney, C for Connor, R for Rett and L for Liam.

This way they were hidden at an age appropriate level and the littlest ended up with just as many eggs in his basket as the oldest.

Some of the eggs had puzzle pieces in them.

Once the puzzle was complete the kids got this picture: a desk in our house.

Underneath the desk, on that bottom shelf, was a personalized basket for each kiddo.

Go Auntie Joy!!

Here are photos from the HUNT:

All the cousins together on Easter. It should create sweet emotions in my heart, but instead I stare at Rett's hair and shake my head.  Still reeling from  the self haircut.  This Easter, I will be thankful for hair.

Christmas

Santa was here!!
"Santa got it right!" The last couple of days he was doubting whether or not Santa could remember what he wanted, this Leapster game was of particular importance.
A rare photo of me and my first born. We look so much alike in this picture?!
Our first Christmas dinner at the new house. All 10 of us together, except neciepoo, who volunteered to take our picture. Didn't she do a fantastic job!?
The boys putting together Rett's new firestation so he can play with it.

Christmas Eve

He's taller than me now.... I can hardly believe it.

Everyone got to open one gift before bed.

Rett in his fireman pajamas. What a cutie-pie!

Delaney opening her gift.

Christmas Tree

Our Christmas tree is up, the skirt is around the bottom and the lights are on....okay, so it came pre-lit, but I did have to put it together and plug it in....and now that it's done we can get into the holiday spirit.

Headless Pilgrim

At some point during yesterday's festivities the pilgrim took a hit. No one mentioned it. No one said "Hey by the way Mom, sorry about that." I found him in the garage with his head on upside down, no less. Time for the superglue.

Thanksgiving

Our first time hosting Thanksgiving. The family was out of town, so our good friends, sometimes referred to as our Urban-family, came over to share it with us. Let me just say this was the most relaxing Thanksgiving in 15 years! So much more relaxing than traveling. I think we've got a new tradition. We played tons of games; Write to 100, Left, Right, Center and two challenging card games I can't remember at the moment. Makes me wish we had more game nights.

The kids table. Yes, that's our outdoor picnic table covered with a table cloth.

The adults, inside and closer to the food.

We changed clothes and took the photo for our Christmas card today too. Yay, it's done!

Christmas Lights

When I was gone on Saturday Tim purchased and put up lights. He's the best! Though I think he should have strung some up on that bike someone left on my front patio.

Independence Day

This town loves 4th of July! Riding our bikes down Mainstreet, HBHS is on the right.

Got painted while watching the parade.

"Past, Present and Future of Trash" of course Rett loved this float.

Sharing a cupcake with Grandpere.

Kiddos swimming in the pool.

Our front porch with 17 bikes!
